As Mick kept reminding us, there are many possible sub steps to each of the main steps depending on the type of build. That’s why it’s a general representation only.
But hey, it’s a damn good general overview!
You need to make sure you have quality conversations with your local council, a Building Surveyor, Draftsperson/Designer/Architect, Carpenter/Builder, Mortgage Broker/Bank and anyone else you can possibly think of to understand what’s required to be a successful Owner Builder.
As an Owner Builder, you must always remember that you are carrying out the role and responsibilities of a licenced builder.
You need to think and act like one!
Whilst the main site gives a great overview of owner building, the value of this site is that it goes broader and deeper.
And the information is all neatly in the one place!
Our job is to simplify the process for OBs and we knew doing the research on course providers and finding a quality provider means less work for you!
