Is waterproofing to standard? Are there any nicks in the membrane? |
Inspection of waterproofing is not mandatory in all states however it's highly recommended that it is inspected to avoid costs in the future |
Before internal lining goes in

Make sure ALL trades have completed tasks correctly. It will be too late once house is lined |

Has floor flashing been installed in wet areas? |

Are walls straight? |

Are power and light points correct? |

Has wall insulation been done? |

Interior lining

Has board been installed per manufacturer's instructions? |

Has plastering been done well? Especially joins? |

Have all imperfections been fixed prior to painting? |

Tiling to wet areas

Make sure setouts are completed to make tiles sit evenly in the size of rooms |

Check to see all joints are watertight |

Ensure tiler will use a high quality sealant |

Check tiles for chips after laying |

Kitchen
|
Are you happy with workmanship? |
|
Do you have sufficient powerpoints? |
|
Painting (after all tiling, joinery and carpentry fitoff)

Are painters using quality paint? |
|
Have correct paints been used in specific rooms? |
|
Have painters used correct colours? |
|
Services fit-off
|
Have all services been fitted off e.g. stormwater drains connected, bathroom, kitchen, laundry fixtures and fittings |
Generally, if not checked off correctly can become expensive to rectify |
