Okay so we heard that title in a movie and thought it was a little catchy.

But seriously, safety on your building site is critical and again, YOUR responsibility.

It's a requirement that you obtain a White Card (maybe referred to as a Green Card in some states) and in some states, you need to obtain it prior to undertaking an Owner Builder course.

The course to obtain your White Card is what will help you understand the important Occupational Health and Safety laws, the potential hazards and risks on a building site.

Make sure you pay attention and more importantly, make sure you stick to the rules.

Remember, as an Owner Builder you are carrying out the responsibilities of a builder.

Be sure to have a safety plan and be familiar with the plan prior to starting your build.
